On so many levels, theoretical and real levels. This might be the greatest loss for humanity this decade, or maybe even this century.....If we even get to the end of this century. One of the greatest minds to have ever lived, and we were all so fortunate to have him.

At least he gets to explore the final frontier now. RIP.

While the getting was still good? Are you really sure about that? But it’s an incalculable loss.

I lament his passing, but I am amazed I got the news so quickly... and that even 9gag’s official twitter account also posted a message... I am very confused as to why that was one of the 3 results google gave me.

A life we all should mourn. And celebrate. He got more time than anyone expected, and used it to the max.

I think he’s the first famous person I actually cried when I heard he had died.
And then I remembered this. He’s just so inspiring.

His name shall be written in the stars: Hawking. His mind was his power, and his power was near boundless.
Farewell, Professor. This rest is well-deserved.
